Emily Gold, a contestant on the latest season of America’s Got Talent, has sadly passed away.
The dancer died at the age of 17 on Friday (September 13), just weeks after she performed with the Los Osos High School Dance Group on AGT.
The Southern California dance group made it through the auditions and performed during the quarter-finals, but were eliminated from the show in August.

People reports that Emily was found dead by suicide at 11:52pm on Friday night.
Authorities told the outlet that “officers from the California Highway Patrol Rancho Cucamonga area responded to a pedestrian down in lanes. When the officers arrived, they located a female, 17 year old, who was struck by at least one other vehicle in the carpool lane on eastbound 210. The female did succumb to her injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.”
Police are still investigating the death and looking for more information.
A GoFundMe page has been set up to cover expenses for Emily‘s family.
The page said, “With great sadness we share our Los Osos Grizzly Emily Gold has passed away. As a community lets come together and support the Gold family in this difficult time. Please know this money will go directly to the family to support them and help with expenses.”
