Christine Brown SHOCKED by New Romance With David Woolley – ‘It’s Crazy, I’m So Excited!’
Sister Wives star Christine Brown has shared the early days of her love story with David Woolley, and fans are finally seeing how their romance blossomed. Although the pair tied the knot last year, viewers of Sister Wives are getting a glimpse of their initial connection, including Christine’s reaction to matching with David on a dating app.
Instant Chemistry on a Dating App
In the Sunday, October 6, episode of Sister Wives, Christine, 53, reflects on her excitement when she first met David, 60. In a confessional, Christine shared her happiness after finally meeting him face-to-face after weeks of talking online. “It’s crazy. I’m so excited,” she revealed.
The couple connected on a dating app, and after about a month of chatting, they decided to meet for breakfast. Christine opened up about her initial reaction to seeing David’s profile. “The first time that I got on [the app], I met David. His pictures were beautiful,” Christine said, adding that his eyes stood out. “It was him with these eyes.” When the pair finally met in person, Christine couldn’t help but be even more taken by him. “His pictures do not do him justice,” she said. “His eyes were beautiful.”
Christine also recalled how she embarrassed herself during their first meeting by blurting out a compliment as they walked into the restaurant. “We’re walking into the restaurant, and I go, ‘I just have to tell you, I think your eyes are beautiful,’ just like that!” Christine said, covering her face in embarrassment while recounting the moment.
A Breakfast Date to Remember
Once they sat down for breakfast, David took things up a notch by asking if he could sit closer to her. Christine explained, “He’s like, ‘This is kind of far away. Let’s get closer to each other.’” The seating arrangement only added to the connection, and the couple spent the entire meal talking about “everything.” Christine gushed, “It went so great!”
Christine’s venture back into the dating world came after her split from Kody Brown in November 2021. After spending more than 25 years together in a spiritual marriage, Christine and Kody went their separate ways, and Christine began dating again more than a year later.
From Romance to Marriage
Christine and David made their relationship public in February 2023, and the pair wasted no time moving forward. Just two months later, they announced their engagement in April 2023, and by October of the same year, they had tied the knot in a heartwarming ceremony.
Their wedding was featured in a two-part special on TLC in January. According to Christine, it was David’s idea to share their big day with viewers, recognizing that fans had been following her journey for 14 years. “We were talking about our wedding and things like that. And then just through the discussion, he’s like, ‘Look, you have people that have been watching you for 14 years now, and they’ve been following your story. Now you have this romance and you have everything that you wanted. And I think they would appreciate watching it,’” Christine explained in an interview with In Touch.
A ‘Royal Wedding’ Experience
David also opened up about his feelings on their televised wedding, admitting that while it was different, he embraced the experience for Christine’s fans. “I knew that they wanted to be part of it, and I had no problem with it,” he shared. “It was different to see all the cameras and everything and all this stuff going on. I thought we were at a royal wedding, and it was like, ‘Wait a minute, this is my wedding.’ This is weird. Because there was too much attention going on. It was crazy.”
For Christine and David, the experience was surreal but ultimately a celebration of their newfound happiness, one that fans of Sister Wives had eagerly awaited. Their love story, which began with a chance match on a dating app, has blossomed into a marriage filled with joy and excitement, marking a new chapter for Christine following her tumultuous split from Kody Brown.
Fans can continue to follow their journey on Sister Wives, which airs Sundays on TLC.
