’90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way’ Shekinah Storms Off After Sarper’s Lies Are Exposed [Tell-All Part 1]
The 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way reunion kicked off with Part 1 of the tell-all, where cast members came together to reflect on their relationships and confront unresolved drama. With two couples officially split and others facing major hurdles, the stage was set for explosive revelations.
The Cast Comes Face-to-Face
The reunion began with cast members arriving at the studio. Corona Blakey, stepping out of her car, groaned, “I’m not looking forward to this.” Meanwhile, James Solis, accompanied by Meitalia Solis, expressed his concerns, saying his wife was “back on [his] side” but feared judgment from the group.
Josh McGuffey, now back in the U.S., admitted he missed Lily Huang but worried about her defensive tendencies during tough conversations. Joanne, meeting the cast in person for the first time, was excited, especially since Sean had joined her temporarily in the U.S.
Corona came prepared for confrontation, stating, “I’m telling everyone what I think, and I really want to talk about Josh and Lily. Lily is a boss a** b**** and I love her and I think she deserves the world. And if Josh can’t give it to her, she needs to go get it somewhere else.”
Once everyone was seated, it was revealed that Ingi and Lily were joining via video call, while Statler Riley and Dempsey Wilkinson, now broken up, opted out of attending. Host Shaun Robinson opened by asking for visa updates. Both Sarper Guven and Sean shared that their long-term plans in the U.S. remained uncertain.
When Corona was asked about her relationship status, she confirmed it was over. “I gave him so much attention and love and everything, and then he just left,” she said. Ingi’s smirk visibly annoyed Sean, who called him a “scumbag” for knowingly hurting her.
Sarper Faces the Heat
The first couple in the spotlight was Shekinah Garner and Sarper Guven. They shared their decision to try living in the U.S., as Shekinah struggled to adjust to life in Turkey. However, tension arose when Shekinah mentioned her discomfort with Sarper’s past comments about Americans needing to “lock up their daughters,” worrying it might reflect his true feelings.
The drama escalated when the show introduced Sarper’s former fling, DeeDee, via video call. DeeDee revealed recent contact with Sarper, admitting they had corresponded as recently as November. She shared that Sarper once described Shekinah as “possessive and unpredictable,” which Shekinah found deeply upsetting.
DeeDee, a therapist, claimed she saw a positive transformation in Sarper, saying, “He seems loyal and like he’d never cheat.” However, she criticized Shekinah for restricting Sarper’s female friendships, calling it “unhealthy in a lot of ways.”
Outraged, Shekinah stormed off the stage, refusing to return until DeeDee was gone. Backstage, Corona and Meitalia comforted her, agreeing they would have reacted similarly. DeeDee then scrolled through her phone to reveal an extensive history of messages exchanged with Sarper.
Josh and Lily’s Rocky Marriage
When Shekinah Garner returned, the focus shifted to Josh and Lily. Josh rated their relationship a six out of ten, while Lily gave it a three, citing her unhappiness:
“I feel like we’ve been arguing constantly since we got married. My husband blames me every day. We don’t hug and we don’t have sex. I used to be a very confident person, but I’ve completely lost my confidence because of my husband.”
Josh, visibly emotional, admitted he struggles with intimacy when he feels “belittled” by Lily. The cast was stunned to learn the couple had only been intimate four or five times.
James empathized, noting financial struggles could affect a man’s libido, referencing his own experience in Indonesia. When the group discussed their past relationships, Shekinah declined to reveal her number of partners, citing Sarper’s discomfort with double standards.
James and Meitalia’s Family Conflict
Meitalia explained her desire for her sister Angel to visit the U.S., prompting Angel to join via video call. Some cast members encouraged Angel to reconcile with James, suggesting it would demonstrate her love for her sister.
“She’s wanting to come into the relationship and destroy it,” Shekinah told Meitalia. Angel defended her stance, explaining that James failed to honor the Indonesian tradition of seeking her permission before marrying Meitalia.
James admitted to broken promises, including hesitance about having children, which brought Meitalia to tears. Despite her longing for kids, she said she would forgo them to stay with James. He revealed he had already paid for Angel’s visa, allowing her a six-month stay.
Ingi’s Exit
As the episode concluded, Sarper FaceTimed Ingi, offering support and encouraging him to share his perspective. Ingi revealed that during his visit to the U.S., Corona seemed like a completely different person. When she suggested therapy, he decided to leave. Shortly after, he exited the video call, leaving the cast to speculate on what might come next.
Part 1 of the tell-all set the stage for even more explosive revelations in the next installment. Stay tuned!
