It looks like Paulina (Jackée Harry) is giving Shawn (Brandon Beemer) a stern talking-to down at the Salem police station. What is going on and will Shawn do as it appears Paulina is instructing him?

Ava (Tamara Braun, l.) is relieved to see another human being, even if it’s Kristen (Stacy Haiduk), hoping the DiMera Enterprises CEO will come to her rescue and help her escape the strange woman in white who is holding her captive.

Unfortunately for Ava, that strange woman is none other than Rachel Blake (Ros Gentle), Kristen’s mother! So between Kristen’s daughter and her mother being responsible for holding her hostage, is there really any hope for Ava?

Ava has been silenced from adding her two cents as Kristen listens to her mother’s explanation for holding Brady’s new girlfriend hostage. Will Kristen go along with it or will she play Ava’s hero?

Could it be that Kristen is going to allow her mother to continue keeping Ava on ice while she tries to make inroads with Brady? Kristen is nothing if not an opportunist and this could be just the opportunity she needs.

Shawn appear to be showing he still has some faith in his boss as he brings Jada (Elia Cantu) a cup of coffee. Is he trying to soften the blow while giving her a message from the mayor or does his dropping by have to do with something else?

Now that Brady (Eric Martsolf) knows that Ava going to visit Tripp was a lie, thanks to Steve’s (Stephen Nichols) call to his son, the two men are determined to work together to figure out what happened to Ava.

Jada, tipped off by Steve, confronts EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) about being the one who set her up. To use her fiancé to do it was a low blow and now “Rafe” hasn’t been answering her calls. Will EJ twist the knife a bit more?

After all, EJ knows he has Rafe (Galen Gering) under his thumb and tied up, unable to reach out to Jada and warn her about EJ’s determination to make her pay. EJ has to find a way to continue to keep Rafe, who is determined to break out of this makeshift prison, under control.

Is this the answer EJ has been looking for to keeping Rafe compliant? What is in that vial and will it simply put Rafe to sleep or will it do something so much worse?
