Ranveer Allahbadia and Dhruv Rathee’s old video about online hate goes viral amid ‘sex with parents’ remark controversy: ‘The whole world of…’

YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia is at the center of a major controversy after he appeared on India’s Got Latent. A few remarks made on Samay Raina’s show did not go down well with the viewers. Ranveer Allahbadia’s comments especially about ‘parents’ and ‘sex’ continue to receive massive backlash, and has led to police complaints being filed against him. Many well-known personalities have commented on the controversy. YouTuber Dhruv Rathee too shared his thoughts. Amidst his reaction on Ranveer’s controversy, an old video of both has resurfaced. Three years ago, Dhruv Rathee appeared on Ranveer Allahbadia’s show ‘The Ranveer Show’. The two popular YouTubers spoke at length about politics, social media, criticism and much more. During the conversation, Ranveer spoke about online hate. For the unversed, Ranveer had faced criticism when he commented on Aamir Khan‘s transformation for Dangal. Recalling the same, he mentioned that the entire situation affected him severely and that was the time point when he realised the impact of internet. He said, “The whole world of Bollywood was hating me. Aamir Khan’s trainer also made a video. At that time, it affected me a lot. I was 23 and had never seen such hate in life. I did not know the strength of internet as you can receive over night fame or can face tsunami of hate.” While narrating the incident Ranveer also recalled how his alleged girlfriend supported him. Dhruv Rathee and Ranveer Allahbadia’s podcast is once again attracting attention and comments from viewers. One of the comments on the video read, “Mr. Ranveer, I have been following you since you started growing on YouTube, always admiring your positive energy. However, your actions on India’s Got Talent have revealed your true self. Dhruv Rathee did slam Ranveer and Samay for the content of India’s Got Latent. However, he also mentioned that “But the way the politicians, media anchors, police and the whole machinery is harassing them is unacceptable, wrong and very suspicious.” Even though Ranveer apologised for his comments, the controversy continues to linger.
