Following Colin Farrell’s Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Award win over the weekend, the question on everyone’s mind is: will the actor return to reprise his role as The Penguin?
There’s no doubt, Colin is absolutely smashing it this award season and we’re seriously delighted for him.
Just recently he picked up the award for Best Male Actor in a Limited Series or TV Movie for The Penguin during the (SAG) Awards.
And whilst fans might have their hopes up for his return as the iconic DC Comics villain, Colin isn’t so sure.

Speaking to Variety’s Marc Malkin at the SAG Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday night, Colin was asked about the prospect of a second series of the HBO hit The Penguin.
“I don’t want it. I don’t not want it,” he admitted.
“We all left it in the ring in those eight hours. I would hate to, just because of a quote-unquote success, have to go again and for it to be a diluted version of what people seem to feel it is, majoritively.
“So I’m in no rush. I have no deep desire to do it,” he added.
Continuing on he shared: “Sure, if they think of something that works in conjunction as a parallel to (The Batman writer-director) Matt Reeves’ cinematic universe and it’s a good idea, I’m open to it.
“But it’s not something concerning me.”
While we would love to have Colin back as The Penguin, we’ll sadly just have to wait and see what happens.
On another note, congratulations again on the award!
