Meghan Markle is opening up about a fashion artifact. The Duchess of Sussex recently reflected on her role as paralegal Rachel Zane in Suits amid the show being rediscovered by fans thanks to TikTok and its spinoff Suits LA. Markle appeared on the show for seven seasons, exiting after her engagement to Prince Harry in November 2017.
While it’s been nearly a decade since Markle was seen on the small screen, Rachel and her wardrobe remain as relevant as ever—especially with dark academia trending in fashion. If you’re not familiar, Rachel was a bonafide office siren. She opted for sophisticated but sexy dresses that were slightly cinched in at the waist. She also favored pencil skirts, which have since come back in style. In an interview with People, Markle shared that she still has the pencil skirt she wore as Rachel in the very first episode of Suits. “It’s a time capsule for me,” Markle told the magazine. “I still have the pencil skirt from the first episode! That’s the one thing I kept.” Markle’s Rachel often paired her pencil skirts with timeless white button-up shirts or fitted sweaters.
Like Rachel, Markle’s real-life wardrobe is just as classic. In fact, her style has been making headlines following the release of her Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, which follows the duchess as she cooks for her friends in California. In one episode, starring Mindy Kaling, Markle got candid about her style, sharing that she likes to mix price points. “I like high low,” she explained, revealing that her pants were from Zara and her sweater from Loro Piana.
Fans have since tuned into the show not just for Markle’s cooking, but for her clothes. In a different episode, Meghan proved the power of a good T-shirt in a navy blue number by Bleausalt. Search for the tee spiked tremendously, and we found it on Amazon for $100
